Versamatic distributor Germany – AODD pumps and Valor Series

As Versamatic distributor Germany we supply air-operated double diaphragm (AODD) pumps for thin to paste-like, abrasive and solids-laden media. They are self-priming, run dry without damage, are deadhead safe and can be controlled steplessly by air pressure and air volume alone.

The Valor Series uses flap valves instead of ball valves: larger free cross sections, higher flow per unit of air consumed and fewer wear parts. Housings are available in polypropylene, conductive PP, PVDF, aluminium and stainless steel, diaphragms in Santoprene, PTFE or EPDM.

Versamatic pumps are dimensionally interchangeable and therefore the first choice for replacement upgrades of existing installations. As master distributor and Versamatic distributor Germany we keep pumps, diaphragms, valve balls and service parts in stock.

Applications

  • Chemicals, electroplating and surface technology

Frequently asked questions about Versamatic

What makes Versamatic air-operated double diaphragm pumps special?
Versamatic AODD pumps are self-priming, run-dry safe and infinitely adjustable via air pressure. They handle thin to viscous, abrasive and solids-laden media and are dimensionally interchangeable — ideal for retrofits and upgrades.
What is the Valor Series?
The Valor Series uses flap valve technology: higher flow rates, lower air consumption and fewer wear parts. Available in plastics and metals, including ATEX versions.
Are Versamatic pumps available in ATEX versions?
Yes. Versions in conductive polypropylene, PVDF, aluminium and stainless steel are available for potentially explosive atmospheres according to ATEX.
Where can I buy Versamatic pumps and spare parts?
As master distributor we keep pumps and spare parts in stock. B2B customers order via the online shop maschinen-werkzeug-shop.de or through aodd-pumpen.de.

Versamatic distributor Germany – air-operated diaphragm pumps for tough media

As Versamatic distributor Germany we supply air-operated double diaphragm (AODD) pumps for media where centrifugal pumps fail: solids-laden slurries, highly viscous adhesives, aggressive acids and alkalis. Versamatic pumps run dry, are self-priming and can be dead-headed without damage.

Why compressed air instead of an electric motor?

  • Intrinsically safe: no ignition source, therefore usable in ATEX zones without elaborate motor protection
  • Infinitely adjustable: flow controlled via air pressure and throttling, no frequency inverter needed
  • Solids-capable: ball valves pass particles that would block any impeller
  • Service-friendly: diaphragm change in the field without dismantling pipework

Combining materials correctly

Housings in polypropylene, PVDF, aluminium or stainless steel are combined with diaphragms in Santoprene, PTFE, EPDM or Neoprene. PTFE is chemically almost universally resistant but stiffer and therefore less suction-friendly; Santoprene offers the longest service life with aqueous media. We match the combination to your medium and state the expected service life openly and realistically.

  1. Record medium, solids content and grain size
  2. Determine flow rate and back pressure
  3. Check air consumption against available compressor capacity
  4. Define housing and diaphragm material
  5. Add accessories: pulsation damper, leak detection, foot valve – ranges and technology are shown in the air-operated diaphragm pumps category
